... my mum worked for 6 months when she was a little older than me. We went back to their house for a beautiful cooked lunch followed by dessert of cherries and cream! Afterwards Dario and Claudia took us up to our family house in the mountains- the equivalent of a Bach in NZ 'Cansume'. It was just as I remembered it- so beautiful. We walked around for a while and the view is just incredible! Ilaria picked us up in the afternoon and we went ...

... church and during summer at mass, you could smell the rotting flesh of the bodies. The town then decided to dig up the bodies, keep the skulls and cremate the bodies to get rid of the smell! We then walked back to Dario and Claudia's house where Claudia had cooked us a massive lunch! We had homemade chicken cordon bleu with potatoes, carrots and onions. After Dario had his afternoon nap, we drove up to the family mountain house. There wasn't much snow ...

Woke up to a beautiful view from our window then down for breakfast (photo). Had the best latte so far this trip. We then commenced a browse around the streets of Venice, looking through shops and taking photos. We indulged in a gelato before heading back to collect our bags and catch the ferry to the train station where we caught the train to Milan or Milano. Venezia to Milano by traino 2.5 hours. We traveled ...

... been on the go about 3 hours now and am in desperate need of a nice cup of coffee. As it is the Swiss are not known much for coffee shops but every town I passed through just seemed dead and locked up for winter. Finally I turned off the beaten track and into a little railway town called "Bever" and sure enough here I found a lovely little coffee shop with conservatory etc.

It was now extremely warm outside and so me just like all the other folk in here decided to ...

... happens and where it takes you.

I started looking for hotel signs. Followed a few signs but didn't find anything. I was driving through a valley with lush hills on both sides and streams flowing along the road. Just after Spinedi-Ca' San Giorgio I saw a hotel and restaurant on the side of the road, with parking. Perfect!

Friendly staff that spoke enough English, good price. Wifi and a good restaurant. What a day!
