... to step safely out of the bus because there are two or three of them poking umbrella for sale in your face I get a tiny bit frustrated. ... we once again attended an exclusive "Australian" night on the 9th floor of the boat around the central pool, which is a large deck area accommodating a lot of people. The ship does specific country nights based on large groupings of people. We have 500 to 600 Australians out of the 2,200 passengers on board.

The ship sailed out once again at around 6pm to head through the night to arrive in Marseille, France around 7am on Saturday 2 August ...

... Again a lovely person but she is leaving soon to get married and to live in Chamonix in Switzerland. The job is to manage the accounts for a number of super yachts with unbelievable budgets. There are a lot of systems and procedures to learn and accuracy is of utmost importance. There are also a bunch more people in the adjoining offices but I haven't been here long enough to get to know them. Had to work on Good Friday ...

... evening Jan again prepared a lovely dinner for us. Annelie took me shopping in the local markets and I was envious of the fresh fruits and vegetables so readily available. The French are obviously serious about their food!

On Monday we made the return trip. We had to be home in time for our building project! And while our time in Mandelieu was short, it was a perfect "taste" of the south of France. I hope we will return again soon!

We decided to have room service delivered today to be ready for our early meeting time 7.45 to get our tender boat and go on our tour.

We booked a tour that will take us to Monte Carlo and Monaco, both in the principality of Monaco. When we arrived at the port of Cannes after disembarking from our tender boat, we boarded our bus. We learned many exciting things ...
