... over the top of the mountain range which provided us with spectacular views of the coast line. During the drive we saw a removalist truck unloading outside a large home and on the side of the truck was written 'Celebrity Removalist'. This certainly made Roy very excited and he is still speculating which celebrity was moving into the home :)

... Rolls Royce!

There were still remnants of the recent Formula One Grand Prix to be seen. The scaffolding and seating takes 2 months to erect and 1.5 months to dismantle. Good work if you can get it! Sylvia drove us around the track, explaining interesting features, much to the delight of American David, an avid fan.

... evening Jan again prepared a lovely dinner for us. Annelie took me shopping in the local markets and I was envious of the fresh fruits and vegetables so readily available. The French are obviously serious about their food!

On Monday we made the return trip. We had to be home in time for our building project! And while our time in Mandelieu was short, it was a perfect "taste" of the south of France. I hope we will return again soon!

... We walked from the harbour, right up around the casino and up the hill, past the world famous hairpin. Paul took a couple of good photos too! After a nice walk back up the hill (Monaco is so hilly!) well everything is on different levels of the hill, we walked to the palace on the hill. This palace is home to Prince Albert II And was built in 1191. It has a very interesting history because unlike their European counterparts, the ruling family of Monaco ...
