We walked the grounds and spent some time in the church, then drove on to Castle Toblino, where a bishop lived many years ago, now a restaurant and bar. Maria bought a picture for Carols kitchen wall this morning and now wants to buy her clothes to have remembrance of this trip! This weekend I had an excursion trip with the school to the Italian Alps, Garda Lake and Verona.  I met the bust at 4:50 in the morning and we took a five hour drive to the Italian Alps.  Then I took a 6 hour hike (about 6 miles) through the alps.  At our stop for lunch we saw a huge waterfall. Shelley and Lorraine ventured up this curvy, tiny, dark staircase and entered a room with basins and four doors. Each doorway was up a step and each loo had a view. It was like sitting on a throne. Lorraine called it the Princess loo and insisted the girls were Princesses in waiting.....never saw prince charming however.....especially ...

... shop and tourist facility seemed shut. Of course it may have been the Italian siesta time being near lunch! <br> From the Railway Staion one can see the gradient of the whole system clearly obvious when looking north, back towards the Albula Pass and Lake Blanco, so named because of its glacier run off water colour. <br><br>Wouldn't mind another holiday here!<br> <br>
