... in the Sculpture Garden has awakened awareness to shape, colour, texture, form. Already the long queue and €14 entry has been worthwhile. Inside, a treasure trove of multiples paintings of Picasso, Kandinsky, Ernst, Chagall, Klee, Man Ray, Rothko, Dali, Bacon, Mondrian, Miro, line the walls of Peggy Guggenheim's magnificent Venice home fronting the Grand Canal, just along from the wooden Accademia Bridge. ... melba toast. I got to read a book and pack up for tomorrow.

Tomorrow morning we head out for Salzburg. I'm excited for this weekend, and our time there.
We are planning to do a Salt Mine tour, visit the fortress in the old town, and take a cable car into the mountains.

... s very tasty. The owner is also a very charismatic guy and speak very good English. They have the menu in many languages. It's not in the easiest place to find but there are so many customers. I get it's the cheapest you can find in Venice. They packed them in takeaway boxes and we ate them on the street outside. Great choice. Should have checked earlier. Lesson learnt.

... Pizzeria for dinner on our way home. We ordered a pizza to share, a nice small bottle of wine & bought the obligatory, delicious ice-cream on the way home. 16/09/13. Today was a day out & about on the water taxis. We bought a 12hr ticket for 18€ each which gave us the option of getting on & off as many time as we liked.
