Well, what a mixed bag today was! First of all, it took ages to get to sleep last night, as our window overlooks the Rialto market square, and there was some kind of party down there with lots of people banging drums and yelling. It sort of faded away around 11:30, giving Alan enough time to fall asleep. We also saw the two grantors columns which are symbols of the saints San Marco and San Teodoro erected in 1172, gruesomely the sight of public executions.
