... two boys and her mother from Philadelphia - they had stint in Sydney with the dads work.

Also had a chat to my cricketing mate, Greg Campbell and his wife when they were on their way out. He was more talkative this morning as guess that they caught up on sleep and were more relaxed after a horror day yesterday. ... the mass of tourists that St Marks square has. We found a quiet little restaurant for lunch. There are any number of glass shops selling any glass from a few euros to many thousands of euros. Some tacky some very clever and beautiful. The things that they can do with blown glass is amazing. We visited a beautiful little Basicilla and saw yet more works by Tineretto and others. Amazing that a random church has masterpieces inside it. We had a visit to the glass museum ...

... Some molten glass, some very gentle and quick blowing and viola a vase. Similar process again with a few pinches here and there on the glass and a beautiful rearing horse. Absolutely spectacular!!!!! Then for a walk around the showrooms full of amazing glasses and art everywhere. Fantastic and beautiful chandeliers made me wish I had a house that I could use one in. ... After arriving in St Mark's Square for the third time in the space of half an hour, I decide it was time to consult the map.

At some point I thought about eating dinner. As I roved from restaurant to restaurant checking out the menus and, in particular, the prices, I very quickly realised that I was probably going to starve in Venice. The prices were what I would pay in Albury, but in euros - you do the conversion!
