    ... Fri - Grasse to Nice Dawdle over 42 km 250 m. The weather was universally excellent with sunscreen required. Lunch is at whatever town punctuates the ride between 1:00 & 2:30. A superb lunch was had on Thursday at Coursegoules where a meal of coarse pâté, salad, preserved mushrooms, onion jelly, pickles and fresh bread, all home made and in worker quantities, was put on by the only shop open in the town.     So this is what the Verdon Canyon is meant to be like if its not totally white out fog and pouring rain. Which it was all day. All 8 hours of sitting on a bus. Seriously tour company, if you know that a place is not accessible that day. Don't go. Stuff your itinerary!
