... on top of the hill was very refreshing.

Checked in at San Francesco Monastery. Medieval but with modern amenities. My window looks out to a courtyard, I feel transported to the 11th century. Explored the scientific center. Didn't realise Richard Feynmann, my physics idol, used to lecture here. Dinner at S. Rococco cafe, two courses with a surprise desert. With neuroscientists from Cambridge. I did make my way to Venus Castle (built by the Normans) and to the Real Duomo (just the outside). Erice has 60 churches. What is it with Sicily and all its churches? The 3 hours was not long enough but gave a taste to ensure another visit/stay.
