We were up early, had a quick coffee and crumpet (the breakfast of champions) then were driven to the station. We took the train to town then the tube to Heathrow. All those skinny bodies gave us an appetite so we found a cafe (ha ! as if we had to look very far) and had a tasty feed of Sea Bass and steamed potatoes (patates vapeur)

... of town and we briefly saw a memorial to all the jewish people and also the people who helped hide the Jewish people.. Unbelievable!! We walked around another area ( Place des Vosges and Bastille area and Le Marais area), and there was musicians playing under the arches in a couple of areas.. It was such a great afternoon!!
Came home and relaxed, then had dinner.. Had an earlier bed time...

I was doing some reading about the park online last night and from what I read it is a very safe, well used public park for tourists and locals for jogging, biking etc.
It was mentioned though that in the evenings, there is an issue with the park being used by "ladies of the night" as an office, using white vans as their base.

Metro (after a little hiccup; we went the wrong way down in the bowels of the earth but were soon back on track) I've always said that's why French women aren't fat.....those Metro stairs and miles of corridors! So glad we chose to go there as they are setting up grandstands and television cameras for VE (Victory in Europe) Day tomorrow so our coach may not be allowed around there.
