... the end of the trip. Our accommodation is a shared self-contained apartment, very small for 6 but economical. It is called the House on the Bridge and is part of an ancient castle. Wednesday 3 September We made a dash for the early ferry to go over to the other side of the lake and check out some popular "tourist" spots. Hotel Du Lac?!

... across the lake from where we were supposed to be and 30 minutes later we arrived at Hotel Du Lac "with parking" in Menaggio. Not quite "on the lake", but the view from our room was probably the best at the hotel. Bree and her pro tennis player Frank Moser soon joined us in Menaggio and we enjoyed some Buffalo Mozarella (which Warwick now can't get enough of) and our first delicious Italian meal of Venison Ragu and Goats cheese Risotto with truffle. ...
