From la Tour we started walking towards Argentiere but ended up stopping at Montroc where we hopped onto a train to Argentiere with some fellow travellers. With the day done, 18km later and having climbed +3000 feet, we were spent and happily checked into our hotel and hit the hot tub and swimming pool.     ... and everyone in tow. This is an important thing when the train comes to your village only once every hour. Sitting there and admiring the view, I checked on the schedule again.

    iPhones are magical things when travelling. Allows us to sort out the most efficient, most beautiful routes in Switzerland and taking the headache out of map reading!! we are. On time - I thought to myself - to catch the train at dock #2.

    We decided to chicken out of the second half of the run, it was getting silly, so we opted for the gravel road instead. But this we know from our previous walks are horrible roads. This was no different and we came down warily and slowly. There was an old woman in a bikini walking down in flip flops, she kept on over taking Ci, to the point that she was going to be off the mountain before we were !! That gave Ci a bit more courage to come down a bit quicker, but ...
