... in the background. Once again living up to my reputation for being an obnoxious kid magnet. What were they doing to that kid? Couldn't they inject him with a sedative?
So, I sat and sat and sat and stared at an orthopedic surgical wrap poster. The company offered 22 various wraps/bandages, which were to aid various parts of the body from literally the neck to the toe.
Normally I would have pulled out my ...
Lausanne
Jour 1
J'adore Lausanne. Nous sommes all ...
... control recently has broken down, this was the perfect sign to follow, where I planed to cross the border to Switzerland.
Just arrived in late afternoon to Aosta, I was not only already entered to the italian part of the alps but also to the point of good bye. Here I decided not to spend another night in Italy and crossed the border to my homecountry Switzerland a hour later at Calle del Gran San Bernardo.
BIENVENUE EN SUISSE - WELCOME TO SWITZERLAND
... way up the mountain with many 180 degree switchbacks that
were very narrow, I am glad I did not approach traffic coming the
other way in these turns. There also was not a guard rail to be
found and as I reached higher altitude, I became a little nervous
looking over the edge to the valley over 1,500 feet below. I reached
Megeve and decided that I had had enough nail biting driving for the
day, so I turned around and worked my way back down. I then headed

From there we drove from Switzerland to Chamonix, France. For all you skiers out there, this would be a wicked ski vacation. It’s a true little French ski town and the mountains looks insanely steep. The food is melted cheese, potatoes and bacon. Yes, heart attack in a casserole dish. Yummy. We also had a fun encounter with the Chamonix Gendarmerie... Jon drove up a one way street by mistake. There was construction and it was ...
Chamonix, Rhône-Alpes, France sofenjonTurned up in Lausanne Swizerland after some confusion and missplanning. We intended to travel from Venice to Monaco then Barcelona then Paris but money was running out fast, so what better idea than to come to Swizerland and Lake Geneva one of the most pricey countries in Europe, so as a result we could only spend one day here on our low student budget. When we arrived at the station we changed some mone and entered the Tourist ...

... we took the train (with our bikes) up to Col de Bretaye and rode a loop that ended back down in Villars. What can I say about the riding? It was nothing special as far as riding goes, but where it did excel was the tour it provided us. One can cover a lot more ground on a bike than on foot....so it afforded us a nice sightseeing tour with more mountains, streams, trees, and little alpine flowers. Oh, and can't forget the cows! Cows, cows, everywhere. I love Swiss cows.

But, at most ATM's you can't withdraw less than 50 CHF. Second, parking was a pain in the ass. We learned that the parking garages don't take credit cards either, and there is not ATM anywhere close. If you park on the street you have a max of 1 hour. If you park in a space where someone put time on the meter (ex ...
Geneva, Switzerland blacksheep... The sound echoed from the left through the valley and ricocheted off the Alps into the distance. I looked up over my head to see the vapor trails often left by airplanes and me and some other travelers, after talking to the locals, figured it was a sonic boom from one of the Swiss Air Force planes that had flown overhead. A unique experience in a unique place.
