... unreal, sun is fierce and not a breath of wind. Afternoons on the balcony are the order of the day, listening to all the birds shouting at each other and arguing over bread dropped on the floor at the cafe by the lake.

Some of the other tunnels were older and less ‘pleasant’ as the airflow wasn’t great. I am slightly claustrophobic but became so blasť about tunnels that on the second rainy day I contemplated a stopover in a tunnel siding. I would pick my tunnel and spot though.

... and searched out somewhere for dinner. It's like we've entered a whole new world.....all of a sudden, no-one “gets” gluten free. Eating out this week may prove quite difficult. We did on the upside find a specialised GF grocery/deli so we can at least cook back at the apartment. After the obligatory gelati, the bus ride home seemed less traumatic.
