      ... last hello stop in the marina on the Sunday to confirm the trip and found the captain with a big bandage from the nearby hospital. Mister for operated in emergency from an hernia when I was exploring these islands. He had to stay quiet for at least a week, no way for me to wait that long (feeling that the old man might need more time than that to recover). **** happens, well it happened. I won't sail the Caribbean...
      Life goes on, let's fly to saint Martin and then go to Cuba.

      ... they could drop me. The captain was a typical French sailor, a bit rough, a bit hard to get on with but well, I kept coming back to say hello to show them I was really keen. Days passed and muster was nicer to me, and finally agreed to take me onboard, the plan was to go in a few days. Sweet! Is dream plan coming true?

      Led saints is a collection of small islands just south of and counted as part of Guadeloupe.       ... sailing. With wave directions slightly side on to the boat crossing the spaces between the islands was rougher than a lot of the ocean crossing! But in the lea of the island it was smooth sailing to the anchorage. Arriving in the twilight hours we nosed into the anchorage as the night lights were turning on. Dusk treated us well as we dropped anchor with reasonably good visibility.

      ... Daddy says his strategy to remind Mum why she married him is working as his fluent French was essential! Mum and Dad were both pretty excited when the doctor advised them that his house had been featured in one of the “Death in Paradise” episodes (the one where the lady in a wheelchair was murdered, for any fans of the show).
