... re staying in a nice posh chalet (one of the ones our company rents out) and just practicing the cooking etc. We're living with all the people who are going to be in working in our resort. There's only 6 of us - another couple and two single girls. also one resort manager.
Monday night Dave did the cooking and exploded one of the desert dishes under the grill so a good start - had to bin the whole lot but not my fault so all good! we seem to have done quite ...
... pictures and updating my blog. The grading system here is tough compared to what I'm used to but I will adjust. The company I am consulting for is interested in expanding to the U.S. and has us conducting market research for key demographics. Its a nice change of pace from school work, there's little structure and its almost entirely self regulating. Its a welcomed increase of freedom as well as responsibility.
That's all I've got for now friends, until next time.

... into MacD's and decided a big mac meal for 6 euros would hit
the spot. This was a very unique McDonalds, done up in
mountaineering theme and was located out of the way, as for 2 ˝
visits to Chamonix, I did not know it was there. After lunch I
wandered around town for a bit as it started to brighten. Back to
the room to read and ready for dinner, although I was not hungry
after the meal at the arches. I headed out for dinner, still not
hungry and after seeing a ...

the week that we spend in New England. Four days after returning
from New England, I then boarded the train to Chicago take 32 people
from Chicago to Las Vegas via Provo, Utah. I was sent over the day
before the tour and I ended up seeing my original travel buddy, Tom
Herron and his family and it was great to catch up with him. We used
to hang out a lot when we were both single, but times have changed
and our time together has been limited over the ...
... have french onion soup which is soooooooo good and Dan has a seafood salad which he loves, then we have fondue with champagne, mushrooms and dip in bread, potato and meat. It was a seriuosly yummy fondue! No room for dessert, we head back to the room and try to decide where we want to go the next day. I am interested in St Paul de Vence..Dan thinks its a bit far. We discuss Avingon, St. Remy and various other combination, but don't find the solution. Bed time and a rethink in the morning!
... for Jon... he said he was so nervous he forgot how to speak French. Anyway, the next day we wanted to go mountain biking but by the time we checked out, all the shops were closed from 12-3 and we couldn’t rent anything anywhere. I think everyone closes up shop and goes out to play... sweet jobs.

... from 1250 to 2360 meters in the morning, and then walked all the way back down to Chamonix. Wonderful views, but we were shattered in the evening, so we treated ourselves to a fondue savoyarde, mmmhhh!!
The next day was slightly shorter, but we still walked for 5 hours. We even did a bit of 'trail running' when we realised we were half way up the mountain and had a train to catch to get back to Geneva!!
... seemed to be the target for the first night. Not yet quite sure of the goings on, I took it upon myself to blend in with the surroundings and stay as much out of Rhett's line of sight as possible, and with success I might add. Bedtime ended up to be round about 10pm every evening. Myself and Peter in a room on the first floor with Rhett, Koos and Rowan in the room across us. The room aka Nakedville... Rhett now Fines master and King of Nakedville with his ...
La Plagne, France vermaakjeanne... the rental place to swap for skis, which luckily is free in La Plagne. There on in it was smooth sailing, or skiing rather. There was no more snow so I skied the rest of the week. I zipped around, waiting patiently when Ian had to take off his board or skate, elegantly disembarking from ski lifts, able to ski right to our door, and most importantly not falling over. Snowboarding in Europe is not the done thing, like in Australia or Canada. 80% of people ski, and 10% who were ...
La Plagne, France cobi... of the last word) but it is pronounced meadie, then when u get to the top ur guide will find you and will take you on a 150 ish metre walk along a norrow part of the peak to a place where you will be able to put ur skis on and get on down the hill.
this run's length depends on how much snow they get. but it took my group about half the day.
I loved it. I stayed in a very confortable motel as well. everything was great.
