... home at 3 in the morning and were decidedly second-hand the next morning.

So here we are in Avoriaz, the Christmas - New Year rush / panic / chaos has passed and we are finding our feet, after 4 weeks of really hard slog. It would be fair to say that it has almost beaten us and we have been ready to pack our bags. This life is much harder than Whanga, and the clients are something pretty special.
So far we have had a wide range of groups , although all ...

Today was the same routine, Nanny walked Brody over to ski school and Matt and I took Marni along to her school. She was a little more focussed and happy about it today. Oops, no notes again! Refuge Elena quite new and modern. Large dorms but partitioned into bunks of 4. Located on a high ridge overlooking the valley, where we had a long break and arvo tea. Met some interesting groups of Italians, see the funny hats. It seems that all of Italy has these 2 weeks off, so the trails and refuges are full. Dinner in a lovely dining room, food pasta as usual. ...

... had to walk up a hill, but wouldn't you know it, we couldn't find the entrance... Finally after about 1/2 hour we figured it out. Grand Hotel des Alps is our first and last nights stay. Very nice hotel, right on the main pedestrian walkway through the centre of town. Dropped our bags and off exploring the town (or at least the main drag). Visited a few stores and then sat ...
