Paul's training has kicked in. The Ironman in Copenhagen is on 23rd August. Paul went up the valley this morning (on another beautiful day). We zipped to the weekend market and then headed off to Geneva to get a new rental car. We haven't found a car to buy yet, so need to take back our rental and exchange for a smaller version. Unfortunately the first rental car got dinged in the side (car park ding, we think). This ...

The Hotel de Viallet is a small family run hotel on the road that leads up to the Col de Pré, our first destination en route to Val d'Isere tomorrow. Helen did her usual impressive annual job of rolling the French out and finding out all about the proprietors' lives. We had a nice ...

... a quaint little cafe/bar. It was full so I leave but the waiter comes after me and insists i sit at the bar, plenty of room he says. A ham sandwich and a coffee was exactly what I needed. As i'm sitting there eating I look up and outside and wow....its started to snow. Nice!! Certainly puts a smile on my face as that was really all I wanted for Christmas. Can't wait to get out and walk in it. I stroll through the village getting covered in snow which is ...
