    Sunday 2 August
We moved back to the anchorage near Mao. Being a Sunday it was extremely crowded, luckily most were day trippers so by the end of the evening there was decent space between the boats.

    Monday 3 August
Took diesel and water at the fuel pontoon and then headed for the floating pontoon. Cant believe we got charged 10E for water and all we took was 330 litres. We were charged 49E for the privilege of mooring on a pontoon with absolutely no facilities.

My flight from Dublin arrived in Alghero at 2 pm.
I went straight to the beach! I really missed the sun and the Sardinian sea!!!
I love my land and I love Alghero. Alghero is always Alghero, 'cause it has the beaches, and what beaches! And also, it has some movida at night, and nice shops, restaurant and bars...

On a été au mouillage et le matin la houle nous faisait bouger dans tous les sens alors on est partis. J'ai fait les 2h30 de navigation jusqu'à Torre Grande et on est sur un ...

... allure néo-classique. We have left Minorca on Friday morning at 7 am and arrived the next day (after a 32 hours sail) in Sardinia. On Wednesday we've caught a shuttle bus from the nearby hotel and went to Alghero which is a lovely city. We went to mass as we couldn't go last Sunday. That was our first mass in Italian, the 8th language we have had a mass in. The Santa Maria cathedral (Cattedrale di Santa ...

... meatballs , tripe disguised in a tomato sauce and gristle . Some of these entrees were not what I had in mind, especially the tripe and yes they actually eat gristle!! Our mains were better : slow cooked mutton, some veal and the porceddu which was really nice. Desserts aren't really what you come to Sardinia for; a large delicious looking fruit platter which I sent back because that is not what I could have eaten at 9.30 at ...
