Lovely Layover
The least expensive ticket we could book from Amsterdam to Paris happened to have a 10 hour layover in Geneva, Switzerland. Lucky for us this gave us a chance to bop around this BEAUTIFUL city.
We got off the plane and found that the train was free to get from the airport into central Geneva (score!). We wandered directly down from the train station to Lake Geneva where we saw a bridge covered with Swiss flags and Geneva's flags, docks ...

Gen headed to Starbucks as it is ...

The Geneva bike ride was a great way to spend Friday afternoon! Saw all the sights, did a comfortable ride around the lake, saw the nice buildings and ...
Mountain Running Fail
Not wanting to leave the beautiful mountain countryside just yet, I continued on to Leysin to undertake an impressive attempt to jog up La Berneuse (2048m). Not so impressively, I utterly failed. Almost immediately. About 3 jogged steps up the steep trail I re-evaluated my overly-ambitious plan and decided that a brisk hike was actually a far better plan for ...
