    ... riders were from the pre1950's, exhaust pipes, when attached, belching smoke and oil in equal proportions. Had a walk round the town and then went into the tourist centre where a lovely lady told us all about the area and gave us lots of pamphlets. With it bucketing down with rain we headed for Pareid where we we're staying for the night. Well we did say we wanted countryside and this place certainly is that! ...

    ... us, and I think the balance now is good - it's feeling in control, rather than being controlled where the balance was lost and I think that was down to a lot of different things all happening over a period of time. I want to keep some balance now I've got it back! Gosh, blah, blah, blah...... You see, it is time to go home.....! PS no luck with the gas - we're on a student stove now so no more 'a la carte' menus for us! Anyone for Pot ...

    Up bright and early, I thought I'd pop to the shop to get a baguette whilst Andy slept only to find you had to order it yesterday so just a cuppa tea for us I was not impressed know one had mentioned it :-( off the site by 10am and my turn to drive, we'll that was fun, Saverne was a bloody nightmare the road we needed to go down to get out had a deviation which tried to take us through the town where the streets were ...

    ... all absolutely drenched but we didn't care. We purposefully chose a stage that required us to see a start and a finish, so the following day we got up early once again and headed into town for some more Tour De France festivities. The town was a buzz with people everywhere. Car parks were turned into VIP areas and roads were sectioned off. It's unbelievable to see how the Tour De France all comes together.
