Adventures with Fifi along the Gorge and to Arles

... best ones was the Asylum Garden at Arles as it still looks very much like the way he painted it in 1889. We also decided to go to the location of Stormy Night at night and that was really cool as that is one of the most famous paintings world wide, Europe has so much cool history. Throughout the day there was announcements for bull races in the coliseum. We decided to check it out as its part of the local culture. It was not as we ...

... before leaving home but was also recommended by the hotel manager. Fabulous dinner and then a long walk all around town stopping to listen to a concert in the small amphitheater near our hotel. It's still sunny (& hot) at 10pm so we've found it best to do our sightseeing then as it starts to cool down & there aren't many people walking around. Lovely day. A Stetson to be precise. I liked it. In fact, I loved it. It reminded me of my obsession for hats when I was a child on previous seaside holidays with my parents. ... big long dragon flys on it from beginning to end. It was a nice ride but we did expect and hoped to of seen much more. I didn't have any luck with the horse ride either as they understandably only did a few rides a day due to the heat and they were only at walk. The best ride as we understood was at 9am in a morning that was at a faster pace but they were booked out and to be honest, now I have seen where they ride Im no longer as keen as I was. After we arrived back early ...

... the two Marys and accompanied them in the boat. Happy hour in the garden with that lovely rose wine. For dinner, the hotel recommended a restaurant called Le 16, about a 10 minute walk from the hotel. It was very warm and intimate, with a small menu of fresh items. Dorothy had the duck, Maija and I had the sea bream and Paul had the bull stew (obviously a favourite in this region). Creme Brulee for dessert. A delicious meal again! Today was sunny and ...
