      ... lying on towels on pebbles! Lots of private areas on the beach where you have to pay by the hour for a deck chair & umbrellas. They have a fenced off area with a square of sand. There is swell breaking on the pebbly shore but I wouldn't call them waves. Very different from Aussie beaches but beautiful. It's called the bay of Angels & the promenade is 7km long.
