... really starting to arrive, so thought we better get going. Hit the ATM & was good to go! Have to say, this was probably the most beautiful market I have been to, even including the markets in Provence.

So many pretty things to look at ~ fresh vegetables, fruits, flowers, honey. For the first time I saw fresh zucchini flowers, what they look like before they are fried. There were racks & ...

... yacht that day. Sadly, the joke was on us when, after one minute total, we were parked 100 meters across and we were told to get out. I guess this ferry bus was for the lazy rich people who didnt want to walk all the way across the port to get to their million dollar yahcht (and I am low balling that price point, they were more like 10 million). Port St Louis to Nice

A travel blog entry by ange2013 on Sep 23, 2013

... I had problems with my iPad because it wanted to backup to iCloud and it froze so couldn't use it at all. Had to use phone for reading etc on train. Arrived in Nice at 3pm and caught a taxi to hotel. Got ourselves organised then went to laundromat to catch up on washing. While it was washing we walked to find patisserie for days cakes, mine was in shape of pyramid, and a supermarket. Came back to room and had bread, ham and cheese for dinner then spent evening on ...

... locked after 7pm. Today we headed down to the beach front again and wandered to the old city core. There just happened to be a temporary Italian market right near the permanent French market, so we got to see lots of neat food and flowers and art, as well as try some samples. My favourite was the sundried tomato, Archer's was the cannoli, and Rowan's was the Parmesan cheese. We have more exploring to do there, but we decided to walk up a hill and see the views of the ...

... Like most days we were able to enjoy fresh ham, olives, baguettes, artichokes, tomatoes and multiple boxes of fresh raspberries... Some of the best we have ever tried. Andrew sketched around the village and was invited by locals to sketch from their verandah. After a wander through the village in the late afternoon, it was decided that we should start saving for another visit to Haut de Cagnes as everyone had loved it so much! Now at Nice airport - next stop London to visit the ...
