Ashton experiencing every moment of his birthday by waking far too early and watching the sunrise - apartment faces East. Sun streaming in by the time everyone else wakes. Sing "Bon Anniversaire" (badly), then breakfast and start updating travel blogs (some hadn't made it to Vaucluse yet!) Off to Avis to swap for a smaller car that will fit in the garage. Takes over an hour. The BMW ...

When we finally wake up & put up the electric shutter we discover it's 9:30am. Longest we have slept in on the trip. It's three weeks now, had a great time but it's not your relaxing resort style holiday. ... We stopped in Montepellier for the afternoon to break up the four hour train ride. We had a drink at place that was in the city square. The sun was beating down on our faces and a busker was playing guitar a few meters away. There was a market set up where a man and his son were selling things. As I was walking by I noticed the father was giving a massage to his son and I jokingly said, "Are you giving those out for free?" He laughed and said, "Yes, your next". I told him that ...

A travel blog entry by ange2013 on Sep 26, 2013

At 10am this morning we caught the number 400 bus from the Promenade to St Paul de Vence. We looked around the shops and town then had a late lunch (when we had an appetiser of snails, just to say we had them) and looked around some more. We caught the bus back to the Promenade and bought our cakes on the way back to our room. We were back about 5pm. We had a cup of tea then went out to see about getting a manicure. ...

... the kids finally got to go to the park. I just let them play for almost 2 hours and did absolutely nothing myself. I always love how kids just play with each other, no matter where. Mommies back home - we need to bring the park styles up a few notches, because some of the ladies here are in stilettos, full make-up, and seriously dressed! No sweats/yoga pants or baggy t-shirts or crocs in sight. :) I couldn't get over how small but crowded this city park was; these people ...
