A few days out we decide to move up to Grand Case to try and avoid the swell that is passing through Marigot Bay. A visit to Calmos bar shows what the weather has been like, as their whole sun terrace is now just a tricky beach after the seas washed all the sand away, at least 2 meters gone! So after just 3 weeks on the island it was time to leave - my lift was here! I really enjoyed my time on Statia. I got to see some amazing things and meet some amazing people. It wasn't as busy as I would have liked but on the plus side I had a beautiful back drop to many hours spend reading in the sun. How could I possibly complain about that?

Next stop.....the South of France.

... housekeeping attendant helps us move all our belongings to our new home. Our room 125 is on the lower deck - The Slipper Deck. Our new room no. 333 is close the the restaurant and on a higher deck - The Commodore Deck and apart from that we couldn't detect much of a difference. ... leaving Team Organizational Restructuring further behind but our attention was glued to safely passing slower boats and watching as the big ones from the A classes passed us. The highlight was being passed – slowly – by the two big Swans. At least they passed us to leeward to keep our air clear.
