... some of the countryside to scope out vineyards, degustation, and interesting destinations. We saw some good cycling routes, a beautiful river (the Orb), and some Abbeys worth a visit. Tomorrow is planned to drive up into the mountains north of us and see what kind of hiking trails might be around. Monday we meet with the interior decorator of our property to go over some final details, and then head back to London for one night before our flight ...

... seem to be very patient drivers, certainly far more so than in NZ. We guess it's a function of population - impatience doesn't get you very far here. Overall the driving was straightforward and pretty relaxed with speed limits up to 130kmh. We travelled up to 120kmh conditions permitting. Early in the trip the weather was fine and the car was showing an outside temperature of 26'. Then it became heavily overcast and poured with rain and the temperature ...

... It was a long but interesting drive a majority of it through the Carmague. I very nearly ran out of petrol but just as I must have been on fumes a petrol station appeared after 40 miles of not seeing one.

About an hour out of Le Cap D'Agde, we hit bad weather and although the waterproofs did their job, it was a pretty miserable trip into Le Cap.

Le Cap D'Agde is famous for nudist ...
