Everything you think it's supposed to be when you hear of the French Rivera. Anyway, we drive to the Italian border to a little town called Menton.     ... not massive & over the top like you imagine a Palace should be. We walk the old town souvenir shops searching for best price on a sailing polo shirt Grant has spotted. Saved 6 euro by not buying it next it the palace. I find a souvenir spoon to add to the collection.     So we arrived late last night in nice! Our first thought was that it reminded us of mexico! the smell, the buildings and especially the fact that there is palm trees and cactus's everywhere!!
