      Day 61 (Cinque Terre/Nice)

... most massive and cheap piece of pizza we've ever seen. This train was super quick, only forty minutes, and we had the most beautiful view of the sea and the French Riviera. We even saw a ******* tornado-like occurrence that I still haven't figured out the exact details about. Orson casually pointed it out to us between mouthfuls of chips. We finally arrived in Nice to sun that was looking to escape us. We wanted to get to the beach as soon as possible. It took a while for you ...

We were up early for breakfast and then got on a coach to Cannes. The coach was too big to get out of the road we are on so it had to reverse which took half an hour.
The film festival is on at the moment and lots of hotels have big posters on them. We went for a walk on the prom, watching wealthy looking old ladies wheel around their small dogs in prams and trolleys. Out in the sea there were some big yachts and cruise ships moored. Crowds gathered ...

After getting dressed up at the hotel, it was off to the French perfumery. It was interesting to hear about the ...

... doing all the same things and it makes you realise how lucky you are to be doing something like this. Another thing I've learnt, maybe I am a bit of a home bird after all and maybe that is something that affects some people more as they get older because this was not a weakness I had as a child. I am only coming up to my third week of this experience which is nothing, but it is forcing me to only care about and miss those who want to make the effort with ...

      From Florence -Pisa-Monaco-Nice

We had a really early start today as a long drive ahead of us. Stopped along the way at The Leaning Tower of Pisa but we could not go up as the queue was a mile long and we didn't have enough time. From there it was off on thru Genoa and onto Monte Carlo.
We stopped and went in for a look in the casino and walked along part of the Grand Prix Track. The race was on the following weekend. I spotted a guy in racing gear so went up and asked if I could take ...
