... the week but on Saturday we leave for St Anton - apparently it's an 8 hour drive so up at 6AM.... when we get there we get to go to our permanent accommodation - we're living with the other couple and apparently our appartment has en suite bathrooms and a washing machine so sounds pretty good to us!
attached a couple of pics showing the view from our window when we arrived and the view now...
speak to you all soon!

... a glimpse of a massive glacier on our way to the mountain and later got a great view from a peak further down the ridge. I saw a glacier this summer in Montana's Glacier Nat'l Park but I have to say that despite the parks breathtaking views, its glaciers were hardly impressive compared to Chamonix. This was a legit, man eating, climber scaling, cavernous abyss kind of glacier. We were able to take a gondola that ascended the peak parallel to the glacier some 12,000 feet. After nearly ...
Chamonix, Rhône-Alpes, France ehuard... br>Normally in Europe I don't eat lunch as after a large breakfast at
the hotel, I am good until dinner. In France, unlike the most of the
rest of Europe, breakfast is not included in the room rate. My hotel
wanted 15 euros ($23) for a croissant, juice and coffee, so I have
given up breakfast for this trip. I was looking for some soup and
the one place I looked had french onion soup for 11 euros ($17) so
once again I passed. So I did something I almost never do, I

... the first day
and then wandered through the old town the last day and had a great
time.
Upon returning from Spain,
two days later I then boarded a train in East Lansing for a tour that
I was leading for America by Rail, that took 44 people from Chicago
to Albany, NY and then by bus through Vermont and New Hampshire for a
fall foliage tour. The color was not quite at peak, although it was
very pretty. I had a great group of people and every ...
... channels on the radio. The car has a digital radio and the station doesnt have a fixed frequency, it just flicks itself over the best channel that it can be recieved in the car (but not physically changing, only the number changes without you knowing!).
Dan has a new favourite drink over here.. Schwip Schwapp..its an orange coke mix..the next fav is Mezzo Mix, which is a different brand of orange coke mix..the Schwip Schwapp is a pepsi product that you can get from Aldi..and its ...
... poorly marked. Half the streets in Europe are so narrow anyways; they all look like one ways. So this car pulls up behind up and blocks us in, sweet, it’s the cops. They tell us we went up a one way.... So we honestly tell them it was a mistake and we're trying to turn around. Then they ask us where we are coming from and how much have we had to drink? Here we go... We had 1 big bottle of beer each 2 hours ago, then split ...
Chamonix, Rhône-Alpes, France sofenjon... one of which was obviously our target. With lots of sign language, some French mixed with German, we got the idea over, and landed the photo. But we couldn't persuade him to do the handcuffs, so we didn't push our luck.
We crossed the border into France shortly afterwards and travelled along the Col du Petit Saint-Bernard (which, for some reason, google maps won't recognise as a road, although it shows it as a walking route!), and found ...
... from 1250 to 2360 meters in the morning, and then walked all the way back down to Chamonix. Wonderful views, but we were shattered in the evening, so we treated ourselves to a fondue savoyarde, mmmhhh!!
The next day was slightly shorter, but we still walked for 5 hours. We even did a bit of 'trail running' when we realised we were half way up the mountain and had a train to catch to get back to Geneva!!
... school that I wasn't expecting. I was expecting them to be extremely quiet, and the teachers to be really strict. But people were writing notes to each other, eating chewing gum, talking. It was a surprise, as I had always imagined them to be streaks ahead due to their strict attention to studying. Jessica even told me that no one understood what was going on in maths. It was a tiring day, but an interesting one. I love seeing the differences ...
La rosiere, France amyfisher... of the last word) but it is pronounced meadie, then when u get to the top ur guide will find you and will take you on a 150 ish metre walk along a norrow part of the peak to a place where you will be able to put ur skis on and get on down the hill.
this run's length depends on how much snow they get. but it took my group about half the day.
I loved it. I stayed in a very confortable motel as well. everything was great.
