We decided to revisit Orvieto, leaving much earlier, to allow quality time "browsing-shopping".
The "old city" is situated high up on the hill overlooking the newer city.
You access the "old city" by way of the Funicolare .... This is by far the easiest and quickest route as parking is scarce up in the old city....this is much more fun too!

Even though we can get 30% discount off with cousin’s daughter – we have decided against this. ... milk, cereal for P alas no salted butter in Italy, it takes some getting used to and unsalted bread is equally bland.
They say desperate people do desperate things....the lunch restaurant today served the best bread we have had....it was of course, salted, so more than we could consume at lunch....we brought the unused bread home with us! Is that desperation status, I ask you?
