... see the brown bears and we were lucky to witness their performance/ behaviour whilst being fed. The highlight at dinner involved eyeballing a hungry donkey on the other side of the window!!

... before dropping down in to the village of Thorrent and then Sahorre, another lovely village at the head of the valley. It was a climb back up the other side of the valley to Col de Vernet before dropping back down into the valley and the campsite.

When we left Villeneuve/ Pujols it was dull and overcast, but as we drove south it brightened up and turned into a lovely day. we passed through beautiful spring green countryside, mainly agricultural but with some vineyards.
