      ... and rested for a while, we got back in the car and drove to the summit so we could play in the snow and have some fun. For dinner we stopped at Arisnal (another small town) at an Argentinian Restaurant. The steak was very tasty and the kids burgers were massive!       We are at the last weekend of the carnival. The Saturday morning parade was 'interesting '. Lots of men dressed as tarts carried a figure into the square and proceeded to enact a scene which had strong sexual connotations. And this was mid morning with kids around! The bawdiness of the event was surprising. The second part of the parade was of cooks and chefs with lots of small children ...

      ... people come to the country - tax free shopping! Around 80% of the shops were selling luxury goods - cameras, tablets, watches etc.

      Even in the local supermarket, beside a bunch of bananas was bulk packs of cigarettes and flashy cameras. In many ways it was much the same as Liechtenstein - luxury shops in front of stunning mountain views.

      ... and the snow was vivid white. Today's trip took us to Mirepois. No market, and so the town was sleepy and with few people about. And then to chateau d'Arques.
