... point. After a painful Saturday hangover, it too quickly became Monday again. Work is easy. Boring, but so easy. Easy money is what I keep telling myself. ... it allowed us to gather things without having to be concerned about weight or the limiting size of our bags, now the car is gone we have to get back to 23kg per bag and 7kg for each piece of hand luggage. Next week we head off to Geneva en route to Russia, so we'll need to have it all sorted out by then.

Barbara was excited to finally be in Italy. But she never dreamed she would walk to Italy! The downhill to Refugio Elisabetta was pretty easy and through yet another gorgeous valley. We arrived mid-afternoon. The name of the place made me think of my mother a bit. Wish she was here.

The next morning, the weather still being very good, we opted to take the high mountain trail to our next stop. And high it was, crossing a snow bank at one point on this sunny Sept 4th.
