... heading downstairs for a snack and refreshments. We’ve had the same hotel attendant here for two nights who is very good at his job and has helped us with booking today’s adventure as well as printing out boarding passes for tomorrow night’s dinner cruise, following our visit to the United Nations, located on the site of the former League of Nations.

On Tuesday, Mum and I went down to do shots on goal (soccer) and we met two really nice boys from Paris - Esteban and Emilio. We tried to go ice skating but the rink was closed, so we went to the library instead. We all went to the games area and built a tower. Then, we had the best ice cream ever. Later that night we went to see a French move called "Le Petit Prince".

Chamonix

We drove from La Clusaz to Chamonix. As expected it was very busy!! We tried a couple of camp sites with no success, so headed to the next little town called Argentiere. It's about 10km from Chamonix. We got one of the last flat spots at the camp site! We set up then wandered into Argentiere. A beautiful little ski town. We grabbed a cold beer and enjoyed the view of the mountains. Dad is flying over from the UK tomorrow afternoon to join us for about 10 ...

... climbed to Trou de la Mouche (via Combe du Grand Cret) - 2467m above sea level. It was stunning! Absolutely spectacular! If you’ve been reading some of my posts since we arrived in Chamonix, you’ll be under the impression that this is a pretty fine place to train for an Ironman. The cycling is challenging, the running tracks in the valley are superb, and they also have a fantastic pool right in the centre of town.
