... and we caught the train, originating from Munich, to Venice Santa Lucia on time. We had a reservation in a compartment, which was a good thing as the train was packed. We shared our compartment with three older German women who talked non-stop until they got off. The train went through the Brenner Pass. The elevation drops off very quickly around Verona, but you can see the Dolomites to the north from Venice. When we arrived at ...

... catch the awesomeness of the city with all the restaurants, shoppes, tourists bustling with activity on both sides of the canal. Spending a good few minutes there sinking it all in, I went on and walked around through the smaller parts of the city trying to capture some more of the cities sights.By night time, I found myself on another end of the city, sitting at a restaurant...which was floating. It was basically a floating dock on which people were dining ...

    Day 5: Venice

A travel blog entry by abroszczak on Jul 14, 2013

... all the pieces were beautifully made. After our visits to Murano we were sailed back to the is add of Venice where we had three horses to explore and buy souvenirs. I purchased a Venezia sailor hat which is awesome. Charles and I found a small restaurant to have a small early lunch as we had group plans for a late lunch/early dinner in the afternoon. At this restaurant we shared a margarita pizza and both had the traditional Venetian drink, Spritz Aperol. The pizza was ...
