It is with sadness that I am sitting at the table enjoying my last breakfast in Milena for this year My omelette was perfect done , and the orange juice thick and pulpy, just the way I like it. As I was doing yesterday's blog, all of a sudden, thunder CRACKED and LIGHTENING flashed, as we were plunged into a full electrical storm. Jacques also asked Jean Pierre to help my taking the dinghy, and being a bow thruster ...

... bitumen. We found each pass had its own history and story and that some were as fascinating as their amazing engineering. From the time that the last ice age started to recede people made their way into the Alps. In September 1991 a couple of German climbers discovered a body on the Similaun Glacier. This is the best link we have with those early Alpinists. Ötzi, as the body was called, was more than 5,500 years old, wore well-made shoes, goatskin clothing, and a bearskin ...

... we travelled in our Honda Civic with top box attached - toward mountainous Besançon. We arrived at our Formule 1 hotel far too late in the evening to catch the wonderful scenery around this area. Ah, but tomorrow is another day!
