It's been a hectic few days, getting ready for this trip, but finally I'm on my way! Pegasus Airlines cancelled my Istanbul to Konya flight and I didn't find out till late Sunday! Managed to rebook for the next morning (Wed) and find a room in the airport hotel. Now I'm on my way ...

... up to us and we all struck out down the last 800metres through the lower forest and gorge. Never been so glad to get off the mountain, the walk was epic, and my thighs and calf muscles are still as sore as hell. It was overall a 3 1/2hr walk down. I did mention to my family that we could have taken the perfectly good train down the mountain.

... So pretty much everyone is from somewhere else. I guess it interests me because until now I have always lived in the same province and some people here have lived in multiple places.

The women I met today actually still lived in London. Her and her kids go back and forth. At first it was just until they got settled here and than they would move permanently but shortly after they found out that he might moved back to London. They still don't know so ...

Woke up this morning to quite heavy rain so decided we would head off to Geneva. Took the back roads to start with and drove through some interesting countryside, lots of maize, and some very well kept villages. As always, you wouldn't think it was the middle of Summer - so green and lush. The GPS took us on one road through the mountains that was very windy and as we had misty rain as well we ended up taking the last part on the toll way - it was safer! Went to tourist information ...
