The GPS took us on all back roads coming home and then into a loop around Hass rd, Windsor Castle rd and some other road hence the title of this blog - we needed to reset it and pretend were going to DC until we got onto a numbered route Gabrielle was familiar with.

... It was a long downhill into town, and it dropped us out by the train tracks. As we walked to the center of town, I remembered the hotel their from last time, not a very nice one, and the food was not good at all. So we decided to keep going into Hamburg, a little bit pricier. ...but MUCH nicer, and all the stores were close by. After walking down 61 to the Walmart and resuppied......we headed to the hotel. It was already 8 pm, so we showered and crashed out in some super comfy ...

... only have 6,252 miles left to go. Ouch. Our first night was planned to be to Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, that is a familiar stop coming or going from previous travels. The camping begins once we are south of the Mason Dixon line and temperatures and general weather conditions are reasonable. I paid dearly for not planning and packing a little better as things we needed were in several different packing containers.
