    ... posters and facts, a short documentary on the tower, and we were there. We'd chosen another good day and the views from the top were in HD again with stunning views across the lake (so huge it looks more like an ocean). Obviously there were views of the sprawling concrete of Chicago too, but it's interesting how it doesn't hit you anywhere near as much as the views from 'Top of the Rock' in NYC - you miss not having all those other iconic buildings ...

    ... stands where Mr Potter Palmer built a hotel for his fiancé. 13 days after their wedding it burnt down in the great Chicago Fire of 1871. The Hilton was rebuilt twice on the spot. We had dinner at Buddy Guys blues bar - the music was jazz improv. Food was good. Had a few drinkies at jimmy greens bar on way home.
