Residence Inn By Marriott West Lansing

The English Inn in Eaton Rapids (outside of Lansing Mi) is where we got married one year ago October 4, we went back to celebrate our anniversary and recall that "day of days". It was a little warmer this year but still a nice cool misty October afternoon / evening. Here are a few photos from this year, we will post some photos from the wedding in a few days.

My goals for this trip:
1. Relax
2. Reward myself for 5 years of college
3. Write (stories, poems, blog entries, postcards)
4. See Spain
5. Photograph Spain
6. Explore ART!!! (paintings, performances, architecture....all of it)
7. Get to know new people
8. Be outgoing (especially since I will be travelling alone)

After a hectic weekend with graduation and parties, it's finally time to head overseas. I've been planning this trip for almost a year now, hard to believe it has finaly arrived. We depart DTW at 3 PM, make a couple stops on the east coast in Baltimore and Philly before we fly into Dublin. We will be there Tuesday morning. We are staying at the Ashfield House, located in the city centre. More info to come later.

Well, we did it!! Other than what we brought on the road with us, our worldly goods are in storage and we have started our "excellent adventure." Unfortunately, excellence is eluding us right now since we arrived yesterday at our campground in the Wisconsin Dells in the rain and cold and the engine light in our Tahoe came on at the start of the trip. So our first order of business this morning was to find a GM dealership and take the car ...

After a long, crazy week of wedding planning and our wedding (!), we are trying to find motivation to study for our last three finals each. We both have two finals tomorrow and one on Tuesday morning. There is so much cleaning to do! Our apartment is in shambles, laundry is everywhere, the fridge may be housing toxic mold, along with text books and wedding gifts ...

... to take one of the open air double decker city tour buses, but a cold I had picked up in Malta urged me to try it sometime when the weather was warmer. I took the Tube to Westminster, which is the Parliament and Big Ben area. Upon arrival, I noticed across the Thames, the London Eye, the huge ferris wheel type operation with large pods for great views of London. Having never done the Eye, I got in line for a ticket only to be told after a ten minute wait that ...
