      ... to do Brooklyn Brewery but massive queues so instead wandered Bedford Avenue and the side streets - cafes and bars all along - very cool area. Coffee and beer break then headed back to Manhatten to the west and walked the highline which goes from West 12th St to West 34th St. The highline used to be a train track for transporting freight.       ... to pay, I told Mike I was star struck and told him to tell Kevin he has a big bear following down under. He also agreed to take a photo with me; he was so nice!       What a difference a day makes. Merely 12 hours after bathing in a geothermal spa in a virtually uninhabited area of Iceland, we arrive at JFK. Horrible, ominous black clouds gather overhead as the pass through security, a much less painless experience than I had anticipated. As we leave the airport, the clouds burst. My god it rained.       ... Greenwich Village, Union Square and Madison Square. They are really pretty villages with beautiful parks which we enjoyed resting in. We ended up walking all the way back to Times Square......sore feet after about 12kms of walking but well worth it as you get a much better perspective than sitting on a tour bus.
