We drove about 30 minutes from Anaheim to Manhattan Beach. Today was a much more low key day, which was welcome after our fast-paced days at Disneyland. We parked near the beach and took the opportunity to walk around a little bit. It was a really gorgeous beach: quiet, peaceful, bright blue water. We saw a surf camp with all kinds of little kids …

Our journey home from Europe was every bit as hectic as the rest of our excellent European adventure - typical of our over-active life style to date. Amazingly we were there from 3.00pm to 11.10pm, eight hours. That’s a long day on set to get a 30 minute (22 plus ads) episode recorded. Still to come is the whole editing and sound process. On the way back we picked up In-n-Out and returned to the hotel.

After the fireworks we drove home, the traffic was so bad that it took us ages to get back, luckily Mel was driving, I had a little nap. We then stopped off quickly at the pier for a quick ride on the Ferris wheel at night which was so much fun but made me feel a bit sick. We dropped Carys off at her hotel and headed home to the ...

For a small tips you can have your picture take with some guy or girl dressed-up as a famous actor or figure. I think we saw people dressed up as Micheal Jackson, Jack Sparrow, Shrek, Tinkerbell, spiderman, Bumblebee (the transformer),... and so many others I forgot.

And then there is the mall, not sure what to think off that. Nice enough, but fake in the end with the huge elephants and pillars.
