The town wanted to build a larger facility but could not get the jays franchise to contribute any money into the project threatening, even at that time to head to Phoenix! and the smaller town was stretched to its limits so could only build the present stadium seating just over 5000 seats...they are sold out most spring training seats ...but in talking to many visitors who can't get ...

      ... in the evening to enjoy the energy go the music and crowds...and Mexican cuisine to end the memorable night..
      Got the new summer haircut on wed. .....it always takes me a while to get use to the change....verdict is still out on that one. ...but.. Young Sarah at Master cuts was delightfully entertaining and did fill me in on some new locations to check out.

      ... we spent about an hour on the beach. It was packed. We assume with kids on spring break. So now we have dipped our toes in the Atlantic on the east coast of Florida and the Gulf of Mexico on the west side.

      Our drive back to Orlando was supposed to take 1 hour 45 min again but the traffic was againg solid all the way past Tampa city and it took us 2 & 3/4 hours.

      Cooked dinner at our hotel tonight. Roast chicken and veggies. Nice.

      ... in Crystal River a few days ago that we were anxious for any opportunity to see these rare creatures again. Tampa Electric (TECO), Big Ben Power station in Apollo Beach has become a manatee sanctuary.




      The optimal season to see manatee in Florida is between November and March. After March most of them leave their warm winter home. The power station has a discharge canal ...
