... Interesting to us was the fact that access to the beach in Bay St. Louis was limited, because there was no parking. They built a cement walk just beside the road leaving no shoulder, and reserved the space on the other side to walkers and bikers. So we were not able to park and go to the beach. I guess it must be reserved for the people who live in the houses across the street or anyone who can walk there or ride a bike.

Tallahassee is not just the capitol of Florida, more importantly it is the home of Marcus's alma mater, Florida State University (FSU). Go Seminoles! While this may not seem important to some, it is important to me because if you know Marcus, you know he tells wonderful stories…and some of my favorites are from the Sigma Nu fraternity house at FSU. ... nice gazebo with a picnic table to enjoy! We discovered why the park was given its name. They had magnificent 300 year old oak trees for which I have taken a pic for you. Moss covered the limbs and draped the tree limbs in all their glory. Took a pic for your viewing enjoyment. Gail and I had the pleasure of doing our laundry in our rigs as we both have them in our rv's (charmed life) and of course partook in a happy hour drink. We had a wonderful homemade ...

... heat into some nice airconditioning.

The Old Capitol building is just like it was years ago; a bit of updating, but no major remodelling. Most of the 150 desks and chairs are replicas. The original ones cost $15 each and were all oak. I marvelled at the old wood floors that had lots of varnish, and the very old tile in the restrooms. Also, we were surprised to learn the State Seal ...
