    ... and then got to Memphis by about 3:30pm. Our first stop in Memphis was
    Mud Island which was very interesting. This is a Mississippi River Museum. You park in
    Memphis and then have the choice was walking across a fairly long bridge or taking a

    ... really did bring out the inner child in both of us and it is well worth a visit if for whatever reason you do find yourself in Saint Louis. The second site that we wanted to see was of course the Gateway Arch. Unfortunately it wasn't an ideal time to visit due to the Federal government shutdown.     ... went quite well. I landed around 6:30 PM and was greeted by Robin and Jean Voigt. They brought there dog Taylor along whom I remember form Norway. Robin was our safari guide in Africa when we went in 2009. He has since moved around the world from Norway to New Jersey. It was very nice to catch up with Robin and Jean and I felt as if I was right at home.

    Instead of pushing on to the great white north I decided to relax and go into NYC for the following day. ...
