Traveled all of 28 miles from St. Louis to St. Charles MO. It took Clark and the Corps 2 days to move their three boats the same distance against the Missouri River current. They would not have liked the river today because it was above flood stage by about 3 feet and the current was ripping.

It was getting time for me to take-off so I said my final goodbyes to Mr. Peterson, his father-in-law and the guys at the airport. I knew this was going to be an interesting flight considering all the precipitation that I was about to encounter.
