Made it to Springfield at 10pm after long journey.
Stopped at some impressive caves supposedly were Jessie James hid out.
Stopped in a few different places and drove past a lot of wineries..
took a detour through Cuba (no i didn't get lost).

I felt horrible so thankfully Vicki began the drive first, but being a passenger didn't help much. We had a singalong to help. Once we were about 100 miles away we stopped off to get some snacks and swapped over. Thankfully my thumping headache disappeared once I had to focus on driving. ... you are bored to tears in these little "iddy biddy" towns - shoot stuff and blow it up.
Karl sampled the bug life - some large thing flew into his face, near his closed mouth and committed suicide - he said it had a sort of sweet taste - not keen to try it myself.
We noticed a large number of armadillo's dead on the road - I think they must come out at night - tortoises as well.
Got to the hotel which we were told was were Route 66 ...
