    ... bite to eat we went to a skateboard store as Tony had given Darren a skateboard!! Darren was saying about getting one so that was so cool for Tony to give him one!! He and a friend create the graphics to go on the skateboards and gave him one with JFK on but we just needed the trucks and wheels.

    In the evening we watched Avengers with Jim and Tony and kept looking for affordable housing in far it's proving so hard!

    ... Compared to those in Germany...these one's over here are just crazy!!! For example the drop tower is 415 ft ~ 126 meters high!!! And the take a seat and you don't face the ride, so it shoots you out backwards and then straight up!!! We really had a lot of fun!!
    We had a combo at panda express for 15$, fries for 4$ and 2 expresso shots each 2$.
    At the end of the day we spent 44$ for the 2 of us! That is really ...

    ... Fame we peeped into a few shops including an army surplus shop that had 'used' uniforms, ammunition cases and lots of medals you could buy for very little. We also found a great viewing point of the Hollywood sign.

    Despite trying to stand out as tourists, we attracted plenty of hustlers trying to sell us bus tours, dinner at their restaurant or a photo with someone dressed up as a Hollywood character. It was pretty unpleasant.

    ... time and Robyn and I drove around touristing in the afternoon. Managed to get a dinner reservation last night at the very popular Monterey Fish House restaurant on Del Monte Ave. Very nice clam chowder and sword fish grilled in Cajun spices. Google maps says it is about a seven hour drive to the desert. We'll see. Was a good drive but about 8 hours with stops. It was 97deg when we arrived at about 4:30pm. We ...
