... my feet are better the more I walk and am hoping the muscles in my feet will continue to get stronger and alleviate most of the pain, I'm thinking about getting an acupuncture treatment just to see if it helps. I just happen to know an acupuncturist!!
It's been an adventure filled Spring Break. One for the record books to be sure. Back to weekly entries next week, but will still be walking at least five miles a day. Can't let all this go to waste!
... was shorter by more than a mile - making my return trip 4.39 miles and 1 hour 23 minutes. I was definitely slower coming home, the tops of my arches still hurt and make it difficult to speed walk beyond mile 5 or so. Today, I had decided to take it slow regardless - seeing as I intended to do this every day. Today's total - 10.02 miles!
Once home, I discovered my face was slightly sunburned - I need to remember to put on sunblock before I go out tomorrow...
... my time from before, and just take it easy, I should be able to do it easily. That's what I will be doing in Scotland, stopping to take pictures, stopping for lunch, stopping to take in the sights, stopping to rest and enjoy. When I was walking Saturday, I realized that a 16.5 or 17 minute mile is really a good pace for enjoying my surroundings. Maybe if I slow down to an 18 minute mile I will find I have less discomfort after mile 11. Anybody want to join me?
