This is Jacob's first trip overseas and my first trip without being part of an organized tour, which means a LOT more work went into this trip than I have ever done before. We booked each individual hotel and each train/plane/tour using only the internet. It's exciting that we will only be doing things we want to do, at our pace, based on our interests. It took a LOT of time and Jacob did a whole lot ...

We met many wonderful people along the way, many who spoke less English than we did French or Spanish. We were lucky to have been able to visit lots of markets, ...

I watched today as spring-break kids filled every inch of available capitol space; looking, listening, gasping, snapping pictures right and left, leaning on the bronze grizzly bear that sits outside the governor’s door and giving him a pat. Yes, that’s why he’s called ...

... We will be riding our longest distance (55 miles) and attempting to conquer the highest elevation of the ride. In total, we are expecting over 5 miles of really hard uphill climbs.

The journey has already been a challenge, but it's been great fun, and the reasons behind it have been a major source of inspiration.

Again, thanks for your support and for believing in the cause.
