    ... into the Clearwater River. This is the first time since leaving St Louis, they now have the river's current behind them and speed down the Snake and then the Columbia Rivers.

    June 14th- travel day to Boardman Marina Park, Boardman, OR. Our stops included Fort Walla Walla and unfortunately the Museum at Tamastslikt was closed because it was Sunday.

    ... a Vietnamese themed dinner (sorry Linda, I can't recall the names of the dishes). All wonderfully delicious!     I have 40 minutes before my flight departs from Portland airport to Chicago, my first stop on my journey to Cameroon. I don't think it's hit me yet, though. I've said my goodbyes, but it doesnt feel real yet. I wonder when that feeling of "Oh wow, this is really happening" is going to sink in.

    The afternoon saw us arrive in Portland. It was our 19th wedding anniversary so we stayed in a nice hotel. It was huge and so was the room. It also had a nice view of the river and a balcony however the rain continued and it was fairly cold. The room also had a great electric fire place. After Denny's ( a good family restaurant) for dinner we stayed up late catching up on TV and looking closely at the weather. Back in the tent tomorrow so hope it ...
