Chose this for the spacious suite and full breakfast. Typical Residence Inn stay with all the needed amenities. Enjoyed the breakfast and the nice surroundings while appreciating the great price when staying near the airport.

Immediately upon landing, we hunted down the closest hiking trail - in South Mountain park , a scant 10 minute drive from the airport.

My ambitious plans involved a 1.5 hr sunset hike. After the first 10 minutes I was huffing and panting and begging for the trail to end. A steady upward climb was a very different beast from the flatter …

On east we traveled and did make a stop just before the tunnel and walked down the hill and onto the old highway. This is about a half mile walk from parking to the tunnel and we enjoyed it. On through the tunnel and out the end and up to Hwy 60. This is the first time I have walked further than the tunnel. We walked ...

Actually, all the leaks are because I did clean the gutters and now the screw ...

... we were a week early, or late! So a game of pool, it was a tie till the end when I was beaten! and home to watch ‘The Intersection’ and eat our popcorn. Our Saturday meal of hotdogs and beans and eventually to bed.

Feb 19-Sunday-Up sorta early and a sausage and egg morning. It is overcast so decided not to go to the mining town. Red borrowed the van so we just stayed home. Later walked to the clubhouse for our 3 games of pool--and I won ...

We also managed to be dirty stop outs as we went to see some live music at the Compound Grill a woman and her band called Marcia Ball - they were great.
