    but lots of wildlife and birds and a chance to have a campfire again.
    During the night the NWS was sending alerts to my phone warning of flash flooding and the Illinois and Sangammon rivers over flowing. It was a violent storm and I will have to cross the Sangammon tomorrow morning and hope to camp near the Illinois River tomorrow.

    The exhibit was one of many and I found it quite interesting. Some of the pieces were fun to look at and to think now how did they do that.

    We stopped at the "American Gothic House" roadside attraction. It is the house that inspired the famous painting by Grant Wood in 1930. The actual house is rented out and the visitor center was closed so we didn't get a pitchfork in our picture. Darn it! I remember that theme for the Carney family calendar so this was special for me.

    ... I enjoyed it. When the play was beinging I saw the sent it was kind of weird how they set it up with two long strips of blue ribbon and red ropes. Looking at it I did not know what to think it seemed like a little play park. But as the play began and I noticed that it was a boat scene and they were experience a storm setting. I like how ISU show cased the setting and how they brought this storm until alive with the sound, and ...
