... have been a god send to us on our first stop over, offering us great advice and tips on where to go next and which routes to take. Their boys are gorgeous and our kids have all got along really well. Michael and Matt teaching Bec how to surf for most of the day. A highlight for me on the beach was when Lucia spotted Dolphins out at sea and we all watched in amazement, but for others around us this is perfectly ...

We came back around the corner and since there didn’t seem to be much to explore by dinghy we decided to go ashore and look around. First big mistake. As we noted earlier in this post there is a bit of surf breaking on the shore here. When there is surf breaking on the shore and you want to land your dinghy you have to be careful. Very very careful. We were not very very careful. We were, however, very very lucky in the ensuing crash ...

We saw some sea lions and California condors. The condors were tagged by conservationists or the state ...

... End rant) If you liked him, you'll thoroughly enjoy it. If you didn't, but like history, especially American history, then you will still get something out of it. We drove to Manhattan Beach and had dinner at Chez Pierre for our anniversary. I had picked it because it had a good rating on Zagat's and Open Table and was only 15 minutes from the airport. The food was terrific and we got back to the airport in plenty of time for our final leg ...

... space leftover for those items we'll end up buying as we're traveling. We're expecting to experience a wide spectrum of climates from hot/humid/tropical to cold and rainy. Lots of universal clothing was a must for our luggage packing. Launch day is coming up fast!

Btw, Kirsten asked me to point out that we will be clear on who's writing the blog entries as she believes she's a better writer......We'll see about that.....
