... the next US Celebration to be in either 2017 or 2018. So plenty of time to plan and save :) With another Star Wars Celebration over for another year, what was I to do? Go to Disneyland of course ;-) I headed over to the park after attending the Closing Ceremony and taking some final photos, meeting a few Aussies there for a few hours of fun, before heading back to the hotel and contemplating the need to pack my bags for a hotel move the following ...

The grand old Queen Mary and a Russian sub

A travel blog entry by maryham on Dec 18, 2014

... The submarine was used up until 1954 by the Soviet Union as an active vessel. Nothing compares from seeing one in real life so we got a really good representation from how small they were portrayed in books to how actually small they were. Rooms were very confined and not suitable for someone like me (6ft 1) to spend a few weeks submerged. It was an amazing design as where ever there ...

I should have known better than to pair with Jordan - the gamer. Jordan took charge of the rotate stick so it was ...

Big day today, everyone up early ready to catch the bus at 7.30am dragged the kids out of bed, breakfast done. Got down stairs in time for the shuttle and it didn't come. There was a couple of other families waiting to so we knew we hadn’t missed the bus. We were keen to get there early to get a head start on the day so we kept waiting for the bus.

More people turned up and still no bus. After about 10 minutes I went inside to check the bus schedule ...

... Funny ones thats for sure. And we were blown away by the detail of the whole ride!

One thing is certain: we got every pennyworth out of our tickets!
We made our way across the park and into Frontierland, where we loved the theming of this land- log cabins, little refreshments trollleys where Cilla bought a corn on the cob, the Rivers of America was here where the steam powered paddleboat 'Mark Twain' went for tours around the river. We caught ...
