    ... me sweating and Seaman looking for shade. We found the large LC and Seaman statue at the waterfront park and nearby was the Lewis and Clark Boathouse and Nature Center. Normally the boathouse has replica's of the 3 boats that LC took up river from here but they are currently in Canada as part of an HBO miniseries being filmed about the LC adventure. Nonetheless the boathouse had a great museum ...

    ... a magnificent structure and just to see it close up was an experience in itself. The Old Courthouse, next to the arch is also a beautiful looking building, however again, due to the government shut down we were not able to go inside. All in all I found Saint Louis to be a very pleasant little city with several very interesting attractions to visit. However it was a little on the quiet front and for a Saturday afternoon it felt slightly deserted.

    ... independence from the French, but as we later found out they actually had their asses handed to them shortly afterwards.     ... went back to the middle of the park to wait for Coree to be finished. We went back to the house to feed the cat-dog, before going to Coree's mum's where she had cooked some Philipino food. Now would probably be a good time to point out she is Philipino. Had some amazing egg rolls, noodles and rice before taking the dog for a walk around the neighbourhood.
