... I just pictured the whole thing snapping in half and falling to my death. Then we got back in the spaceship, through the inner workings of the arch. You could see the steps the workers used. It would really sick if you forgot to turn a light off after getting back to the bottom. After our date in the sky we went to find st.louis BBQ, and it was love at first Bogart. Seriiusly, the place was called Bogarts. And it was ...

... with the cruise control set at 55 m.p.h.

We were getting close to the end of Illinois now at East St. Louis and we next stopped to walk the fantastic Chain Of Rocks Bridge over the Mississippi. That was just one of those enormous American engineering feats - to just get a two lane road across the biggest river in the USA. If Gollum wins, he gets to eat Bilbo, but if Bilbo wins, Gollum will show him out to get out of the mountain. Bilbo agrees, and they start asking each ...

... a neat little city on the merging of the Tennessee and Ohio Rivers. There was a tall concrete levee that was hand painted on the city side with scenes from history in the area. They dated back to the Civil War, plantations, their downtown market, etc. There were several barges on the river transporting gas, rock and sand.Since our personal rule for the map is that we have to do or experience something of the state, this short trip ...

The Wheels come off the bus

So I bet you are wondering where is O'Fallon and why would we stop there?

We would think the same thing, except for the fact that a couple of miles before the exit the engine indicator light came on. Just great.

We pulled off at an exit before this to verify in the manual how bad it could be. The information worried us enough for Bill to try and find a Honda dealer on his smartphone. While he was trying ...
