... de Casamento Grego, lembram? Filminho bom, leve.

A final word of wisdom, as we close off this blog: to all the innies out there, remember to Q-Tip your bellybuttons once in a while to stay fresh and clean. To those that are halfways and to the outies, consider yourselves lucky. And may Barry Manilow rock on forever!
Till our next trip...
There is a mighty river flowing from a great inland sea. Half way down the river is an isle with a mountain in the middle. Around the mountain is a city. First people called it Ville Marie. We called it Montreal in Middle French
In the center of the city is a plaza where Iroquois defended themselves against whites. Now the place is taken by a bank. Both sides lost.
Around the plaza were the cobblestone streets with the stores closed ...
... to the world famous Schwartz's Deli that serves up the most amazing smoked meat sandwiches wit mustard. Nailed one of those then got some fresh bagels, philly and salmon for tomorrows breakfast. One the way home david dropped me in town so I could explore Montreal by night. Quite strange walking into a bar alone and getting a drink, but within 10 minutes I got talking to 3 American chaps (Don, Troy & Oliver) who were in town for one night only as a lads night ...
Montreal, Quebec, Canada edwardallin... and nothing else. Finally decided to make our way to the information centre and that's when we found the area we were looking for which was full of tourists, boutiques and restaurants. Found a few drawings to purchase from local artisans and a great french frie place. Delicious.
It doesn't sound like much but it was such a great trip. It is really nice to live so close to a city where you only need two days really to do everything you want.
... very graceful...ha! Anyway, Donovan enjoyed the decor, but also tried mussels for the first time...and loved them. Great. Champagne tastes on a Pepsi budget and all that... Marigan and Stefan weren't too impressed with the mayo instead of ketchup served with their fries, but it was still a lovely, if a bit lively experience. So back to the hotel to watch election coverage...yeah, history and political nuts. No wonder people stare.

Montreal, Quebec, Canada bobtravels... I read it and it has so much bearing now, at the starting point of my trip. "You shall no longer take things at second or third hand, nor look through the eyes of the dead, nor feed on the spectres in books; You shall not look through my eyes either, nor take things from me: You shall listen to all sides, and filter them from yourself." end of 2nd stanza Walt Whitman (1819-1892). Leaves of Grass ...
Montreal, Quebec, Canada bananita... do not have machine that you canbuy tickets. Usually only one attendant. You are better off with a pass other wise you need to line up to pay.. Before we got the pass one late nigh we found a station with the attandant MIA.. Later found out that instead of having coverage for breaks (need another worker), the attandant just leave the gate open when he goes for break... you just walk thru..
